Day 17: 21-Day-Detox

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

I am so thankful for my mother. Without her, I would not be able to go to these workouts.

Being a single mom is rough. It is still very new to me and not easy deal with at times. I am deep breathing instead of yelling more often, focusing on self-love, and going through the stages of grief at my own pace.

Despite the odds, I am loving my workouts and I wish that I could continue at The Camp after the 21 days and do the 6-week-challenge, but financially and with limited options for a babysitter, I can’t make the commitment at this time. Maybe that will change, but right now, its not looking like a possibility.

The last 16-days has been a roller-coaster, but the positive side is that I can feel the difference in my body from the workout and detox. My joints are not stiff and I have more energy. Of course I am tired, but it is more sore than sleepy.

The workout today was a challenge,  I struggled all the way through, but I pushed through it as best I could. I think the rain had the entire class a little slower than usual. The trainers were getting frustrated with the lack of energy in the room from our AFF (awesome fit family). My energy was definitely lower than usual, but I have a lot going on emotionally. Between dumbbells, free weights, ropes, cowbells……. I stopped a few times during each workout to just breathe.

It’s rough but it is worth it!
