Tomorrow, June 26, 2017 is my first day of the 21-day-detox at The Camp Transformation Center, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
I decided to complete this detox because I wanted to pick up on my weight loss goals. I have been practicing moderation (read more about my story as a thick girl in these previous posts Everything in Moderation: the story of a thick girl Get Your Body Back Foolishness: the story of a thick girl) but in order to reach my initial goal to lose 30 lbs. by August 30th, I needed to add more to my workout and healthy eating regime.
I had been following others who have gone through the 6-week-challenge at The Camp, (learn more HERE) for the last few months. I was interested, but could not afford to sign-up for the program. An Ad crossed my screen that there was a special for their 21-Day-Detox for only $21. I felt that I had no choice but to take the opportunity.
The Mandatory Presentation took place on Wednesday, June 21 2017. This was a time to ask any questions we had in regards to the program, to pay the $21 and get up-and-coming information on what the next 21 days would look like. How I am feeling:
I am feeling excited, motivated, anxious, pumped, nervous… so many emotions, but overall, I am ready for this new journey.
Although I am a firm believer in loving your body and feeling beautiful, no matter your size, we must constantly journey toward a healthier life. My journey begins tomorrow and I cannot wait to share my progression and results with you.
We were told at the initial weigh-in that we need to go grocery shopping, clear our homes of any foods that can tempt us to break our detox, and to meal prep for the first week. I decided to do a juice fast for breakfast and lunch my first 3 days, so I will begin my real meal prep on Wednesday, June 28.

I will be posting every day of this detox and tracking all that I do throughout the next 21 days, including recipes, self love affirmations, deep breathing exercises, and a daily gratitude log of 5 things I am grateful for.
